MTN CHAMPS is a track and field competition designed to uncover exceptional athletes in schools throughout Nigeria. It is envisioned as the launching pad for future stars in the world of athletics who will ultimately make their mark on the global stage. This initiative offers talented individuals from all corners of the country the opportunity to demonstrate their abilities and gain the training and support necessary to realize their potential as elite athletes.

MTN CHAMPS will feature a series of four 3-day Championships held nationwide every 2-3 weeks from October to December 2023, with an additional day added to the final event for the Grand Final:

MTN CHAMPS Benin: Thu 12th – Sat 14th October ’23 (Registration deadline: Wed 4th Oct)
MTN CHAMPS Uyo: Thu 26th – Sat 28th October ’23 (Registration deadline: Wed 18th Oct)
M.T.N. CHAMPS Ibadan: Thu 9th – Sat 11th November ’23 (Registration deadline: Wed 1st Nov)
M.T.N. CHAMPS Abuja: Wed 29th Nov – Fri 1st Dec ’23 (Registration deadline: Tue 21st Nov).
M.T.N. CHAMPS GRAND FINAL, Abuja: Saturday 2nd December ’23

Registration will be strictly online, with registration deadlines 8 days prior to each M.T.N. CHAMPS Event.

To join the competition, a recognized school or team official, such as the Principal, Games Master, PE Teacher, Athletics Coach, or Captain, should register your ’10+10′ Entries at MTNCHAMPS.COM. Afterward, you or your athletes can promote your participation by sharing engaging and creative videos on social media, showcasing your School/Team during training sessions, MTN CHAMPS tryouts, interhouse or inter-school sports events, practice sessions, or any other competitions. Don’t forget to include the relevant hashtag for your city (e.g., #MTNCHAMPSIbadan, etc)!
