Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) Africa has collaborated with the Mastercard Foundation to offer support to students whose exceptional potential surpasses their financial means. These graduate students pursue Master of Science degrees in fields such as Information Technology, Electrical and Computer Engineering, and Engineering Artificial Intelligence. Upon successfully completing the program, these scholars embark on a journey to lead transformative initiatives in their communities, contributing to substantial change across the continent.

Scholarship Requirements:

To be considered for the CMU Mastercard Scholarship Programs, you must have demonstrated the following attributes:

In order to be considered for the Scholars Program, students must first be admitted to one of CMU-Africa’s degree programs.

Scholarship Duration and Reward

The scholarship covers application preparation support, orientation, tuition and fees, health insurance, travel and basic living expenses, project, and entrepreneurship support. Scholars also have access to a range of resources that support their well-being and academic success.
